Glass bead pendant featuring “Ocean Drifters” floating in dark blue water with silver blue reflections.
This necklace is part of the Sea Fantasy Collection of jewelry inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium that I live near. From the microscopic plankton to the large jellies, all are amazing and beautifully displayed.
I created the lampwork glass bead using silver enriched glass rods and murrini cane from Double Helix Glass. The silver content in the glass creates the colorful light reflecting shine and opalescence.
A sterling silver tube lining is riveted in place and provides a finished setting for the bead.
This barrel shaped bead is 23mm x 14mm not including the silver setting and bail. Pendant is 33mm from top of bail to the bottom.
The top-quality silver chain with a lobster clasp is 18” long.
