Lampwork glass bead pendant featuring “Ocean Drifters” floating in cobalt blue water. This necklace is part of the Sea Fantasy Collection of jewelry inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium that I live near. From the microscopic plankton to the large jellies, all are amazing and beautifully displayed.
I created the lampwork bead using silver enriched glass rods and murrini cane from Double Helix Glass. The silver content in the glass creates the colorful light reflecting shine and opalescence. A sterling silver tube lining is riveted in place and provides a finished setting for the bead.
The pebble shaped bead is 23mm x 23mm x 11mm not including the silver setting and bail.
The top-quality silver rollo chain with a lobster clasp is 19” long.
