Chrysocolla Willow Ring
Chrysocolla Willow Ring
This beautiful chrysocolla stone is a reminder of Spring and new growth so I paired it with a leafy image of willow leaves inspired by William Morris’s willow pattern wallpaper found in a Dover book of his art.
The edited pattern was transferred to a sheet of sterling silver and electro-etched before being cut and formed into the band for this “Garden” series ring. The high areas of the design were sanded and polished to a mirror bright surface while low areas were left with the frosty white fine silver created by the repeated heating and pickling of the ring fabrication process.
Ring size is: 6 3/4
The band is 12mm at top and tapers to 7mm at back for a comfortable fit.
Stone, including setting, is: 10mm x 22mm
