Willow Bud Vase Brooch

$70.00

This beautiful bud vase brooch is made of copper etched with a willow pattern design originating from William Morris wallpaper. Wear it with dried flowers, aromatic leaves or herbs as it does not hold water. Lavender, rosemary and scented geraniums are especially nice.

It is 2 7/8” long. Two top quality clutch pins secure it to clothing. Shown on wool vest.

Called a “tussy-mussy” during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837-1901), when the small bouquets became a popular fashion accessory.

Note: the detail photo showing side of brooch with clutch pins is of a similar brooch etched with the “Garden Bird” design.
